My Favorite Stock Market Books, Authors, and Gurus!

I have spent a lot of time studying stock trading, and developing automated trading routines. Here are the books in my library that I recommend the most.

  • Timothy Sykes - the most practical strategy for small traders to get big. You wont over trade with Tim's system, but you have a chance to get in on the most likely winning trades that the market has.
  • Alexander Elder is a psychologist turned trader. Having a good handle on your own psychology is exceptionally important. If you trade using your reptilian brain, you will make the wrong trade almost every time. Alexander gives good strategies to avoid being eaten by the sharks or the piranhas, and yes it is two different methods to avoid each of those fates. A very useful addition to what Timothy Sykes teaches in his courses.
  • Brett Steenbarger is another great psychologist turned trader. His daily trading cost is a series of daily devotionals for traders. He also will help you get a handle on your emotionas, and learn how to make very logical and controlled trades.
