Yesterday at Best Buy I tried out two or three display cameras that had 40x optical zoom! It was definitely an improvement over my 2009 Sony HX9V which has 16X optical zoom, and GPS, but no WiFi. During the summer 2020, there were no cameras with comparable features available.
Eric Larson recommends: Canon 7D Mark II, a mirrorless DSLR, now only available on the used market.
